Lead Technician

Prime Communications Inc., an information technology integration company is currently seeking experienced technicians to join our rapidly growing installation team.  We are looking for individuals with strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, and experience in the low voltage cabling industry.

Our technicians work in many environments including schools, hospitals, and data centers.  They also have the opportunity to travel across the United States and visit cities such as Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Orlando. Job Description:

  • As a lead low voltage technician you will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Pull and terminate coax and Cat 5e/Cat 6.
  • Pull, terminate, and test fiber optic cables.
  • Install cable support systems.
  • Install fire stop systems.
  • Lead installation crews.
  • Manage projects and timelines.
  • Prepare and submit documentation to corporate office (time reports, expense reports, and receipts).
  • Maintain company tools and vehicles.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Valid US Driver's License.
  • Clean DMV Record.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Reliable and Hard Working.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stay on feet for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Must have basic tools.
  • Ability to pass drug, physical and background checks.
  • Short term travel is required.  (2 weeks out).
  • Must be able to work overnights if needed.
  • Supervisory experience a plus.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience.
